How to care for your cake on collection

Your cake will be chilled prior to collection. If you will be travelling with your cake again after collection, we recommend chilling the cake until this time. Please chill your cake if it has fruit on it, if not consuming the same day.

Cakes should be kept flat during transport. If driving, please place your cake in the boot of your car, this is by far the safest place for it. Failing this the footwell by the passenger seat. If you place your cake on the seat or hold it during travel we cannot be held responsible for your cake not arriving in one piece.

In hot weather, you may need to refrigerate your cake after collection. During the summer every effort is made to make your cake more heat stable. Your cake is iced in buttercream or ganache, however, and chocolate and butter will melt in hot weather.

If your cake has a long journey please inform us when booking. This will need to be taken into account when designing your cake.

Finally, buttercream cakes can be fragile so please take care when handling them. We want your cake to be as beautiful when it reaches it's final destination as it was when you collected it from us here at Red Robin Pantry.
SET DESIGN & BUDGET WEDDING CAKES
With rising costs effecting couples we've added a selection of set design wedding cakes that can be ordered directly online. These cakes are simply ordered online by you, choose your size, flavour and select your wedding date if available (wedding cakes cannot be delivered the day before so if your date is not available that means we are fully booked for your date).
Since these cakes do not involve the 10s of hours of usual admin associated with custom wedding cakes such as tastings, consultations, correspondence, designs and re-designs, quoting, baking multiple flavours we can offer these cheaper than our custom wedding cakes. These cake have been costed at 20% less than a custom wedding cake of a similar design. Meaning you get more cake for your money as you are not paying for all the extra hours. If you want these services and more flavour options you will need to enquire about a custom wedding cakes.
Set up charges have been included in the price. Delivery however will be added on after booking. We deliver throughout Cornwall (please enquire about venues in Devon before booking). Delivery is charged at £0.95 per mile including return from our base in Falmouth. Please allow for this when budgeting for your cake. We do not offer collection on Saturdays, for tiered cakes or for cakes with fresh flowers.
All bookings must be approved prior to making payment. Select "Request to Book" to check availability. Once confirmed you will be able to make payment.
