We were part of an enchanting Moroccan themed wedding shoot last autumn at Mount Pleasant Ecological Park dreamed up by the fantastic Sophie from The Little Details By Sophie wedding styling & planning.
I had so much fun creating this terracotta & turquoise three-tier wedding cake - not a colour scheme I get asked to work with often I can tell you. The whole cake was decorated in smooth and silky Italian meringue buttercream and finished with a faint mosaic tile design. I loved the bold change of colour and the swept buttercream, which was finished beautifully by the fresh figs and dried flowers grown by Cassie from Bude Blooms. She had such a fantastic selection of grasses for me to play around with, and the warm oranges, reds and yellows of the dahlias, stawflowers, coneflowers & tickseeds look worked wonderfully.
